Regulations and documents with Superior African Hunting Safaris is something we want every hunter to be comfortable with. If struggling or uncertain please contact us.
Each client is allowed to import 2 guns, not more than one of the same calibre. No automatic or semi-automatic weapons are allowed. Per South African regulations,
two hundred (200) rounds of ammo per calibre are allowed. Shotgun shells for bird hunting can be bought in South Africa. Be sure to check with your airline for their limitations and guidelines.
Each client wishing to import a gun needs to complete a customs declaration form (4457) which can be obtained at any USA customs or major airports. Your gun needs to be inspected and the serial number checked to obtain the Customs declaration form from your country. A hunting invitation letter will be forwarded to you, to include in your application.
